Digital Art & Design

Start with drawing and visual ideas, then explore the tools that suit the student. The path can include pixel art, layout, simple animation, 3D and video.

Ideas become understanding

What they will
work on.

  • Drawing, color and composition
  • Pixel art and visual storytelling
  • Layouts and original digital designs
  • Introductory animation, 3D and video
01

Draw & explore

Drawing, shapes, color and pixel art; choose an idea to develop.

02

Design with purpose

Use suitable tools such as Krita, Canva or Figma to create and refine original work.

03

Add dimension or movement

Explore Tinkercad, Blender, CapCut or simple animation when it fits the learner’s goals.

This is a possible pathway, not a fixed completion promise. Activities and topics are adjusted to the learner.

A few possibilities

Their idea comes next.

These examples show possibilities. The student chooses an original project from what they have learned.

Project idea

An original character

Develop a drawing or pixel-art character with a clear style.

Project idea

A small visual story

Combine visual choices into a poster, animation or short edit.

Ready for the lesson

A little preparation.

A laptop or desktop. A drawing tablet is optional. We choose suitable tools and explain any account or software requirements in advance.

Ask about setup
Do students have to use every tool?

No. Drawing is a starting point; tools and extensions follow the student’s interests, device and progress.

Will the teacher make the project?

No. At project milestones the student plans and makes the work. The teacher can offer hints and debugging questions so the student learns to solve the problem.
