Python

A three-level pathway with room to follow the learner’s interests. Students build understanding through practice, then use it in projects of their own.

Ideas become understanding

What they will
work on.

  • Algorithms, variables and data types
  • Conditions, while/for loops and functions
  • Turtle graphics, lists and Tkinter apps
  • Objects, date/time tools and larger projects
01

Basics

Algorithms, syntax, variables, data types, conditions, while/for loops, functions and a student-designed project.

02

Intermediate

Turtle, lists, Tkinter windows, interface customization and practical desktop applications.

03

Expert

Object-oriented programming, datetime/calendar, Kivy where suitable, and a larger independent project. Games, automation or data/AI topics can be explored according to readiness.

This is a possible pathway, not a fixed completion promise. Activities and topics are adjusted to the learner.

A few possibilities

Their idea comes next.

These examples show possibilities. The student chooses an original project from what they have learned.

Project idea

A game with a clear idea

Use decisions, loops and functions in an original game.

Project idea

A useful desktop app

Create an interface that helps someone do a small task.

Ready for the lesson

A little preparation.

A laptop or desktop with permission to install Python and the tools selected by the teacher. No previous coding is required for Basics.

Ask about setup
How many lessons does each level take?

There is no single timetable for every student. The teacher adjusts the pace, practice and extensions to understanding and progress. A package buys lessons, not a guaranteed level completion.

Will the teacher make the project?

No. At project milestones the student plans and makes the work. The teacher can offer hints and debugging questions so the student learns to solve the problem.
